1. Definition of Personal Information
The General Incorporated Association Knowledge Investment Programs (hereinafter referred to as “KIP”) considers information that can identify a specific individual as personal information. This includes, but is not limited to, name, gender, email address, affiliated school or company, and records of activities.
2. Purpose of Use
KIP uses the personal information provided for the following purposes:
(1) To provide services using activity records, aggregation, and management.
(2) To provide personal information to lecturers or other contractors within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose stated in (1).
(3) To provide information on related activities and services.
(4) To conduct marketing activities such as requests for surveys, research, and analysis related to (1) and (3).
(5) To respond to inquiries and questions.
3. Provision to Third Parties
Except as permitted by laws and regulations, KIP will not disclose or provide personal information to third parties other than contractors without the prior consent of the individual. When providing personal information to contractors, KIP will impose obligations for personal information protection through contracts or other means and will appropriately manage contractors to ensure proper handling of personal information.
4. Outsourcing
In order to provide better services, KIP may outsource the handling of personal information to contractors. In doing so, KIP will select contractors that appropriately manage personal information and will establish necessary matters to ensure proper management by such contractors, striving to protect personal information.
5. Handling of Personal Information
KIP implements reasonable organizational and technical preventive and corrective measures to protect personal information from risks such as unauthorized access, loss, damage, or leakage.
6. Compliance with Laws and Regulations
KIP complies with laws and regulations related to the protection of personal information and continuously reviews and improves its personal information protection system in response to changes in the environment.
7. Requests for Disclosure
KIP responds to inquiries regarding personal information. If an individual wishes to request disclosure, correction, or suspension of use of personal information held by KIP, please contact the office listed below. KIP may request the submission of necessary documents to verify that the requester is the individual concerned.
